long file name
ilgasis failo vardas statusas T sritis informatika apibrėžtis ↑Failo vardas, kuriam netaikomas 8+3 ženklų ilgio ribojimas. Ilgieji failų vardai vartojami „Windows“ ir „Linux“ šeimų operacinėse sistemose. Jų ilgis gali būti iki 255 ženklų. „Windows“ šeimos operacinėse sistemose failo vardas į katalogą įrašomas dvejopai: ilguoju ir trumpuoju pavidalu. „Windows“ sistemoje jis matomas ilguoju pavidalu, o kai diskas (diskelis) perkeliamas į DOS sistemą, tada naudojamas trumpasis jo užrašas. Ilgoji vardo forma koduojama ↑unikodu arba „Windows“ koduote (lietuvių k. lokalėje „Windows-1257“), o trumpoji – DOS koduote (775). Dėl to abiejose sistemose vardai matomi teisingai, ir perkeliant iš vienos operacinės sistemos į kitą failus, pavadintus lietuviškais vardais, nesklandumų nebūna. atitikmenys: angl. long file name ryšiai: dar žiūrėkfailo vardas dar žiūrėkunikodas palyginktrumpasis failo vardas sinonimas – ilgasis rinkmenos vardas
